RedevelopmentLand: Four substantial houses on a site of 1.3 acres at the Dargle Road in Bray, Co Wicklow, are to be offered for sale by tender on March 28th. The site could possibly accommodate up to 72 apartments.
Hassett Estate Agents in Greystones is suggesting a guide price of €8 million for the site which has extensive frontage to the east on Dargle Road. The area is ripe for redevelopment, according to the selling agent, and borders on the N11. The site has 225ft of road frontage and is within a few minutes' drive of Bray.
The largest of the four houses on the site, Valetta, is one of the oldest inhabited homes in the area having been built around 1700 as a Huguenot farmhouse. It has been extended at least three times over the years but still retains most of its original character. It has a floor area of 242sq m (2,600sq ft) and includes six bedrooms and three reception rooms. There is also a detached bungalow with 158sq m (1,700sq ft) and two smaller homes built in the 1990s.
