Bank of Ireland Private Banking has sublet part of its former headquarters, 34 Fitzwilliam Square, to northern European banking group, SEB Trygg Life (Ireland) Assurance Company Limited.
This is one of the first lettings of an entire Georgian building in recent times, which Hamilton Osborne King, the agent involved in the deal, believes is a sign the tenant market is picking up.
The 471 sq m (5,069 sq ft) premises was let at a rent of €387 per sq m (€36 per sq ft) with a break option after five years.
It has four car-parking spaces and a passenger lift and its floors are wired for voice and data - which is unusual in a Georgian building, say the agents. SEB Trygg Life is a subsidiary of SEB Group, with around 670 branches in Sweden, Germany and the Baltic states. Bank of Ireland Private Finance has relocated to a bigger premises on Mespil Road. Number 35 Fitzwilliam Square is now available on its own.
