CB Richard Ellis is expecting strong interest in Peacockes Hotel and complex at Maam Cross in Connemara, Co Galway, which is to be sold at tender on May 18th.

Although no guide price is being given, industry sources say that it should make over €3.5 million. Peacockes Hotel is located at the gateway to Connemara on the Galway to Clifden road, about 22 miles west of Galway city. The hotel was rebuilt five years ago and features a large viewing tower with commanding views over the surrounding lakes and mountains. It has 25 en suite bedrooms and a main function room that can cater for up to 800 guests
