Investors looking for good value might well cast their eye over a portfolio at Brookfield Hall Student Village in Castletroy, Limerick, which is to be auctioned shortly by Allsop. The package includes 40 Section 50 student apartments with 94 bedrooms, producing a rental income of €168,000. The reserve price at the auction will not exceed €1.65 million.

Also for auction are 19 two-bedroom apartments at The Steeples, Mulgrave Street, Limerick, with a rent roll of €116,100. The reserve will not exceed €750,000 and if that price is achieved it will give the new owner a gross return of 15.4 per cent on their investment.
