Ross Shorten of Lisney is seeking offers of region €9.5 million for the 3.1-acre site which has been owned by the same family for decades.
The land has extensive frontage onto both Kitestown Road and Balkill Road and adjoins the old tram line which ran up to the Hill of Howth until the service was closed in 1959.
Planning applications around The Summit are invariably hotly contested by local residents but, in this case, the land is zoned for residential use and is ideal for either individual houses or for apartments.
Homes in this area would be keenly sought after because of the attractiveness of the area and the superb views over Dublin Bay towards the Wicklow Mountains.
