Telecoms at Clarendon Row
THE HONG KONG-based telecoms giant Hutchinson 3G has leased additional office space in One Clarendon Row, the distinctive shopping and office block at the side of the St Stephen’s Green shopping centre on South King Street in Dublin 2.
The company has leased a further 678sq m (7,297sq ft), bringing its overall space up to 2,556sq m (27,513sq ft). The company is likely to have agreed a rent of around €322 per sq m (€30 per sq ft) for the additional space.
Bannon Property Consultants are now seeking €377 per sq m (€35 per sq ft) for the remaining suite, which extends to 335 sq m (3,606 sq ft). Savills acted for the tenant. International retailers Zara, HM and Warehouse trade out of the ground floor.
Former school in D8 is sold
AGENT Savills has secured in excess of €550,000 for for the former St Brigid’s national school at The Coombe in Dublin 8. The building extends to 1,385 sq m (14,908 sq ft) and sits on a site of 0.37 of an acre. Jonathan Preston of Savills said the sale illustrated that there were willing buyers in the market for properties that are priced correctly.
Office for sale for €400,000
CHARTERED Surveyors Browne Corrigan are seeking in the region of €400,000 for a modern, self-contained office building at 8 Bridge Court in Dublin 8.
The three-storey, own-door building has a floor area of 136sq m and is located in a secure courtyard setting. It has category 5 computer cabling and attractive timber floors. It is likely to appeal especially to the legal profession because of its location close to the Dublin City Council offices and the Four Courts.
The selling price works out at €2,940 per sq m or €270 per sq ft.
