Kells car showrooms for sale for €2.5m
A RELATIVELY new car showrooms in Kells, Co Meath, owned by Micheal McKeon is to be offered for sale on the instructions of a receiver acting for National Irish Bank.
Loman Dempsey of agent Raynold Potterton in Navan is quoting a price of €2.5 million for the 2,787sq m (30,000sq ft) two-storey showrooms which include a motor service area.
The agent says the building could also be used as a food store with a parking area of up to an acre at the rear.
McKeon’s main garage is located on the opposite side of the street, where a newsafgents’ shop and petrol station is still in business.
The Potterton agency is also seeking a buyer for the former county infirmary hospital in the centre of Navan. The asking price is around €900,000.
Receiver seeks €250,000 for D8 retail investment
SAVILLS is seeking €250,000 for a retail investment property at 17 Tyrconnell Road in Inchicore, Dublin 8. The two-storey building is rented by convenience store company True Valu under a 35-year lease with 19 years unexpired. The current rent is €20,000 per annum. Savills is handling the sale for a receiver.
Premises on Cork quay for rent from 25 per sq ft
A HIGH profile ground floor premises at 5 Lapp’s Quay in Cork city centre which is likely to be of interest to financial service companies and showroom operators has come on the rental market through Peter O Flynn of DTZ Sherry FitzGerald.
Though no rent is being quoted at this stage for the 493sq m (5,300sq ft) corner unit, it is likely to be between €269 and €376 per sq m (€25 and €35 per sq ft).
The premises are opposite the Clarion Hotel in an area where many other leading companies are based including Deloitte, Ernst Young, Permanent TSB Bank and Bord Gáis.
Two Sherry FitzGerald companies which currently occupy 5 and 6 Lapp’s Quay are to consolidate their businesses and operate out of number 5.
