Retailer sought for Luas shop
THE Railway Procurement agency is seeking rental offers from experienced retailers for the convenience shop on the Luas green Line at the Beechwood stop at Dunville Avenue and Beechwood Road in Ranelagh, Dublin 6.
Lisney, which is handling the letting, envisages that the rent will be in the region of €20,000 per annum for the 47sq m (505sq ft) unit which will be let on a 10-year lease. Footfall at Beechwood has been measured at 3,122 passengers – boarding and alighting – per day.
Suitable moves to Drury St
THE Suitable Company, the men’s Italian made-to-measure suit specialist, is relocating from an overhead unit at 59 Grafton Street to the corner of Drury Street and Lower Stephen Street in Dublin 2. The new shop with a floor area of 60sq m (650sq ft) will open for business at the start of September. The previous trader was Flamingo.
The Suitable Company has been in business for 10 years and operated out of South William street before moving to a unit over Sisley on Grafton Street. Dublin City Council, which owns the Drury Street/Lower Stephen Street premises, is in negotiations to let to other adjoining units.
Gym opens over leprechauns
DUBLIN’S north inner city is to get another gym. The Ben Dunne Gym Group has leased 1,538sq m (16,555sq ft) on the first and second floors of Twilfit House at Upper Abbey Street, Dublin 1, under a new 10-year lease. The rent is likely to be around €86 per sq m (€8 a sq ft). The ground and basement floors extending to 1,070 sq m (11,517 sq ft) has been let to the National Leprechaun Museum. The ground floor is understood to have been let at around €269 per sq m (€25 per sq ft). Twilfit House was formerly used as a training centre by Fás and is directly opposite the Jervis Shopping Centre. It is owned by Pat and Helen Conlon. Lisney and Finnegan Menton handled the two lettings.
