DevelopmentLand:A large industrial and warehousing site at Newbridge, Co Kildare, is to be sold at tender on May 9th.
Coonan Real Estate Alliance is suggesting a price of over €9 million for the 23 acres north of the town and close to the Newbridge IDA Business Park where the tenants include Oral-B, Braun, Lily O'Brien Chocolates and Curragh Carpets. There is strong demand for industrial and warehousing facilities in the town.
The site has extensive frontage onto the M7 and is 10kms west of Naas and 36kms from Dublin. The town has been identified in the strategic planning guidelines for the greater Dublin area as being in a primary growth centre along with Naas and Kilcullen.
It is envisaged that this cluster of towns will have a high level of employment facilities, high order shopping and a full range of social facilities to allow it to become a self-contained regional centre, with minimal dependence on Dublin.
