Ginzeng for Liffey Valley

Liffey Valley shopping centre in west Dublin has attracted a new restaurant name to southern shoppers. Ginzeng, part of the Belfast group specialising in Asian and Cantonese cuisine, has agreed terms to begin trading shortly in the food court. It will be its first outlet in the Republic.

Ginzeng already trades in the Abbey Centre, Castle Court and Connswater Centre in Belfast, the Foyleside Centre in Derry, Westfield in Derby and the Hound Hill shopping centre in Blackpool. It will be paying a staggered rent averaging €100,000 for the 70sq m (753sq ft) unit in Liffey Valley where the other fast food operators are McDonald’s, Burger King and KFC.

Stephen McCarthy of Savills says they are always looking for “fresh diverse offerings” for the shopping centres they represent. Asian food had become very popular with Irish customers and the addition of Ginzeng would appeal to a broad customer base at Liffey Valley, he said.

New name for Atisreal

International estate agent Atisreal is in future to trade under the name of BNP Paribas Real Estate, according to the company's Dublin office. Atisreal is particularly strong in France, Germany, Spain and the UK. BNP Paribas Real Estate claims to be the fourth largest property advisory company in Europe.

Patrick Curran, managing director of Atisreal Ireland, welcomed the rebranding and said that with a workforce of 3,600 worldwide and the support of one of the world’s leading financial institutions, BNP Paribas, they were well positioned to grow its presence both locally and globally. “We are unique amongst our competitors in that we are the only global property advisers to be a wholly owned subsidiary of such a major financial institution. This bodes well for our clients and employees in the future.”
