An Bord Pleanála has cleared the way for coffee chain Insomnia to open a new outlet at No 1 Sutton Cross in Dublin 13. The shop, previously occupied by Permanent TSB, occupies a prominent trading position beside Higgins butchers, Bank of Ireland and the newly named SuperValu.
Niamh Sheahan of CBRE, who handled the letting, said most interest came from restaurant and coffee shop operators due to the pick-up in business in the area. Tegan White of Savills acted for Insomnia which now claims to be Ireland's largest privately owned coffee chain with more than 80 cafes. There are plans to open a further 12 outlets this year.
