RetailParks: With few opportunities available in Cork city to rent large retail outlets, Finnegan Menton is expecting strong interest in two retail warehouses which will shortly be available at Kinsale Road Retail Park.
Last year Woodies opened a 6,038sq m (65,000sq ft) store and garden centre which are trading exceptionally well.
The second phase will include two retail warehouses, each with a floor area of 720.9sq m (7,760sq ft) or a combined space of 1,441sq m (15,520sq ft).
Nicholas Corson of Finnegan Menton is quoting rents over €322 per sq m (€30 per sq ft) for the new buildings which will be ready to move into next August.
The development is being carried out by Motor Services Ltd, owners of the adjoining Turners Cross Motors where a new Mercedes showroom is currently being developed.
The retail park is particularly well located on the city side of the Kinsale Road roundabout. This makes it easily accessible to most of the city and suburbs.
