Retail The Letterkenny Shopping Centre first opened in the early 1980s, has been re-launched after a major upgrading and an extension which more than doubles the original size.

Letterkenny, the largest town in Donegal with a population of 12,000, now has the largest shopping centre in the county. Single storey, it has 11,705 sq m (126,000 sq ft) of retail space - an upgrade from the earlier 5,109 sq m (55,000 sq ft) of retail space.

The anchor tenants are Tesco, who are occupying (45,000 sq ft) and Penneys, occupying 3,716 sq m (40,000 sq ft). There are a total of 31 units in the Centre with fashion retailers such as Benetton, Jack and Jones, Paco, Exhibit and Sasha among those taking up spaces. The centre has been refitted in a modern style. Rents cost an average of €699 per sq m (€65 per sq ft) and a car-parking has been increased to 750 spaces.
