The former Rhodes Restaurant at Mary’s Abbey, off Capel Street in Dublin 7, which closed over three years ago, is to reopen this summer under new management. Rhodes formed part of Benton Property Holdings which is now in receivership.
The restaurant and bar of 1,021sq m (11,000sq ft) in the Capel Building has been let to a hotel operator in the city area and will trade as Brasserie 7. It’s to specialise in steak/seafood.
Shane Cahir of CBRE is likely to have agreed a rent of around €80,000 for the 200-seat restaurant which fronts on to the Luas red line.
