Hamilton Osborne King has begun marketing the proposed neighbourhood shopping centre at Kelly's Bay in Skerries. The 2,705 sq m (29,116 sq ft) facility will include a 1,400 sq m (15,069 sq ft) supermarket, eight retail units, two restaurants, a medical centre, offices, bar and a detached crèche along with 140 car-parking spaces.

The development will be located beside the Kelly's Bay residential development along the new Skerries to Balbriggan road. Developers are Markland Holdings, whose managing director Aidan Scully says they hope to deliver the complex next autumn.

The centre will be built to a high standard, according to the agents, with retail units on the ground floor and a mixture of offices, medical facilities and restaurants overhead. A three-storey public bar will have superb views over the bay.

€3.25m for retail, apartment site in Crumlin

An excellent site with planning permission for an apartment and retail scheme in the centre of Crumlin, Dublin 12, has come on the makret through HT Meagher O'Reilly with a guide price of €3.25 million. The site of 0.61 of an acre is adjacent to Pearse Memorial Park and has a direct profile onto Windmill Road.

The planning permission provides for four retail units at ground at ground floor level and 27 apartments overhead. The residential units will be located in two separate blocks and there will be a mixture of seven one-bedroom units and 20 two-bedroom homes. The site goes to auction on November 11th.

Office, shops units on market in Grand Canal Harbour

Joint agents Palmer McCormack and Hooke & MacDonald are handling inquiries for office and retail space at Grand Canal Harbour in the Dublin docklands which is nearing completion. A convenience store has already been leased to one of the leading brands and the agents are now quoting €645 per sq m (€59 per sq ft) for various units that will have a combined space of 1,500 sq m (16,145 sq ft). Office accommodation will be available at €377 per sq m (€35 per sq ft).

Over €200,000 for lease of Moore Street retail premises

Lisney is seeking over €200,000 for the lease of the three-storey over basement retail premises at 1/2 Moore Street, Dublin 1. The building is rented at €60,980 per annum and this is not due to be reviewed until 2007. The entire 272 sq m (2,927 sq ft) building including a shop of 67.85 sq m (730 sq ft) can be offered with vacant possession but a beauty salon on the first and second floors (rented at €450 per month) will continue in business if the new tenant agrees.

Mayo investor pays nearly £3m for Welsh property

A Co Mayo-based investor has paid £2,975,000 stg for a retail investment in Newport, South Wales. The property is let to River Island on a 20-year full repairing and insuring lease at a rent of £161,000 per annum. DTZ McCombe Pierse in Belfast advised the vendor and Hamilton Osborne King acted for the purchaser.

€400,000 for Newbridge site

Co Kildare auctioneer Colm McEvoy is guiding €400,000 for a redevelopment opportunity within walking distance of Newbridge town centre.
