Nine industrial buildings in the much-lauded Tougher Business Park at Newhall, Naas, Co Kildare, are to be offered for sale or for lease on the instructions of statutory receivers Neil Hughes and Kieran McCarthy of Hughes Blake.
The Tougher park, located on the old Naas to Newbridge road, is considered one of the premier distribution locations and is currently used by Penneys, Lidl, Aldi and Danish transport company DVS.
Gavin Butler of Savills is handling the marketing of the nine buildings, some of which date from the 1980s and 1990s while others were built in the past 10 years. The largest unit, a high-bay detached facility extending to 18,060sq m (194,396sq ft) including 536sq m (5,770sq ft) of offices, is available to rent at €795,000 per annum.
The eight other buildings range in size from 248sq m (2,670sq ft) to 3,560sq m (38,320sq ft) and are both for sale and for rent. Sale prices will run from €205 per s q m (€19 per sq ft) up to €420 per sq m (€38 per sq ft).
Significant interest
Savills is also guiding €250,000 for a site of 0.26 of a hectare (0.65 of an acre) at the main entrance to the Tougher park which is likely to be of interest to car showroom operators, drive-through restaurants and other retail uses.
Other industrial sites extending from 0.2 of a hectare (0.5 of an acre) upwards are priced from €200,000 per hectare or €80,000 per acre.
Butler said the park had already attracted a significant level of interest from occupiers and five properties were already under offer.
