The site is located in a quiet residential cul-de-sac and originally formed part of No 4 Northbrook Road, which was sold recently for around €1.2 million. It had been in office use and was vacant for a number of years.

An Bord Pleanála granted planning permission in October 2009, for two two-storey, three-bedroom mews houses, each with a floor area of 191sq m (2,056sq ft) and one car parking space.
