A promotions business involving Ronan O’Gara lost €1.1 million last year, according to figures filed recently with the Companies Office.
The company, of which rugby player O’Gara and his father, Fergal, are directors, saw a sharp fall in the value of its assets and investments in the 12 months to the end of April last year.
The result was that Stand Off Promotions posted a net loss for the year of €1.1 million.
Its auditors, Moore Stephens Nathans, said the accounts gave a true and fair view of the company’s affairs.
However, they stated that, in relation to treating the company as a going concern, “they had not obtained all the information and explanations that we consider necessary for the purpose of our audit”.
