The area is well served by public transport with both Charlemont and Harcourt Luas stops within short walking distances.
The Z1 zoning for the site has the planning objective "to protect, provide and improve residential amenity".
Permissible uses include building for health, safety and welfare of the public, childcare facilities, education, embassy, enterprise centre, medical and related consultants, residential and neighbourhood shopping.
James Swarbrigg of CB Richard Ellis suggests that the site could accommodate a high density mixed-use scheme of residential and commercial accommodation.
