A NUMBER of leading players in the supermarket business including Tesco, Spar and the German discounters Aldi and Lidl are likely to be interested in a substantial supermarket that goes for sale this week at Passage West in Cork.
The rectangular supermarket has a floor area of 1,626sq m (17,500sq ft) and a service yard. An added bonus is the availability of two/three adjoining shops which can yield rental income, possibly being let as a pharmacy and off licence.
Joint agents Sherry FitzGerald and Casey Kingston are not providing a guide price but it is known that the vendor is expecting over €4 million for the suburban property.
