Siteserv shareholders yesterday voted in favour of a proposal to delist the company from the Dublin and London stock exchanges.

Businessman Denis O’Brien is buying the construction and utility services company for €45 million. Shareholders backed the deal at a meeting last month. They voted yesterday to cancel its trading facilities on London’s Alternative Investment Market and Dublin’s Emerging Stocks Market.

The company said in a statement the “cancellation remains conditional on completion of the proposed disposal which itself remains subject to a number of conditions, including receipt of approval from the Irish Competition Authority”. If the deal goes through, the trading facilities will be cancelled on the day after completion.
