IRELAND’S LARGEST regional shopping centre, Whitewater in Newbridge, is to get a further boost in the run up to Christmas when UCI opens its first cinema complex outside Dublin.

The six-screen facility will have seating for 1,050 while its entrance will be on the first floor next to Debenhams. There will also be access from The Avenue, an outdoor pedestrianised shopping area. The rent is understood to be over €300,000.

The centre, owned jointly by Sean Mulryan’s Ballymore Group and Warren Private Clients, is trading exceptionally well, according to the management, and is due to announce a number of new traders in the coming weeks.

Savills and Bannon are the joint letting agents.
