MS Vivienne Jupp is chairwoman of the Information Society Commission, a body set up to oversee national strategy for the "Information Society."

The establishment of the commission, which will report to the Department of An Taoiseach, was recommended in the report, Information Society Ireland Strategy for Action", which was prepared by the Information Society Steering Committee. Ms Jupp chaired that committee.

She is a partner in Andersen Consulting, an international consultancy specialising in advising companies on using new technology to create competitive advantage.
