Sherry FitzGerald and its new investor DTZ International are to set up an Irish joint venture company, DTZ Pieda Consulting (Ireland).

The new consultancy will focus on economics, planning and development, housing and management consultancy. Its sister firm, DTZ Pieda Consulting is very active in Britain and Northern Ireland. Some of its recent projects include, the Channel Tunnel rail link and Heathrow airport's proposed Terminal 5 building. The former managing director of AIB Corporate Finance, Mr Donal Chambers, will be non-executive chairman of DTZ Pieda Consulting. The firm is hoping to capitalise on the growing interest in public and private sector joint partnerships.
