A NEW joint venture company involving a workers cooperative and a distribution company, has won a £3.3 million three year delivery contract from Irish Biscuits.

The partners in JIT Logistics are Whitefern, a workers coop formed by former Irish Biscuits drivers, and Harland Distributors.

JIT will employ 13 full time drivers and six part time drivers. The joint venture was established with the support of the Irish Trade Union Trust.
