Financier Mr Dermot Desmond has increased his stake in Greencore to 9.05 per cent from 7.8 per cent. The 16.9 million shares now held by Mr Desmond are registered in the name of IIU Nominees Limited. Mr Desmond has been gradually building up his holding of Greencore stock in recent months. Whether he is building a stake in an underperforming share in the hope of a recovery or planning a move to restructure the company remains unclear.
