Deutsche Bank will speed up key appointments in a restructuring drive to dampen uncertainty about the plan after the death of one of its architects in a plane crash, a bank source said yesterday.
But the bank, Germany's largest, is not expected to name a replacement soon for management board member Mr Edson Mitchell (47), who died on December 22nd in a US plane crash, the source said. Deutsche plans to fill several senior posts later this week below the management-board level in its growing investment banking division, in which the American executive ran Deutsche's global markets division, the source said.
