Seabrook Research had double cause for celebration this week following the celebration of its 10th anniversary in Cork and the award to it of a $1.3 million (#1.21 million) contract by De Beers Industrial Diamond division. Seabrook, which specialises in the provision of supply chain management products for manufacturing companies, will provide staff to help implement its MFG/PRO product through business consulting work, project management and software implementation.

Seabrook Research has increased its turnover from £80,000 (#101,579) 10 years ago to £1.5 million last year. The company says it plans to double its consultancy staff to 40 over the next two to three years as it takes on further business in Europe and the US.
