German telephone giant Deutsche Telekom AG sold $9.5 billion of dollar-denominated bonds yesterday as part of its record-shattering $14.6 billion global bond sale.
Bonn-based Deutsche Telekom, Europe's No. 1 phone company and the third largest in the world, increased the dollar portion of its sale by 90 per cent from an original $5 billion.
That surpassed the largest previous dollar sale, a July 9th offering of $8.6 billion by Ford Motor Credit Co., the financing arm of auto giant Ford Motor Co.
