Duolog Technologies, a start-up firm that develops intellectual property for third generation (3G) wireless communications, will recruit 40 design engineers by the end of the year.

The company, which was formed last year following a $3 million investment by wealthy individuals, including Mr Denis O'Brien, has brought its business plan forward 18 months because of what it says is continued demand for 3G design services.
