Yet another dot.com has had to postpone its launch - this time, after the traditional bricks and mortar retailers in the same market apparently became alarmed at the brazen New Economy interloper.

The company? An Amsterdam Net start-up called iToke, which promises to deliver your marijuana order within 30 minutes. Unfortunately, the "coffee shops" that have the legal right to sell the green stuff weren't too pleased and iToke's cofounders figured some PR was in order to calm jangled nerves (although maybe the alarmists should have just placed an iToke order and chilled out).

In what must be the tech industry quote of the year, iToke co-founder Tim Freccia told News.com: "We're not in Amsterdam to `Amazonify' pot."
