Eagle Star has announced strong growth in its Irish operations last year and more than doubled its lump sum pension business. New single premium pension business surged by 113.7 per cent to £77.25 million while new annual premium business was up 23.4 per cent at £12.44 million.

Overall, Eagle Star's new annual premium business grew by 19.5 per cent to £17.61 million and new single premium business jumped by nearly 90 per cent to £90.22 million.
