The global financial and business elite descended on Davos, Switzerland, for the five-day forum, which kicked off yesterday with a welcome address by founder Klaus Schwab, and the Crystal Awards ceremony, which honours artists who have used their art to improve the state of the world.
Over the next few days, some 260 sessions will be held, covering subjects from the euro zone to social innovation. Taoiseach Enda Kenny will take part tomorrow in a session on the way forward for the euro zone.
