This Week: It promises to be a busy week on the corporate front with a host of Irish companies reporting results or holding annual meetings.

Eircom will unveil the results for its first full year as a public company on Friday. Interest, however, is likely to focus on its future plans, particularly the prospects of a bid for the Republic's third mobile operator, Meteor, as Eircom weighs up its options for re-entering the mobile market.

Earlier in the week, Greencore will unveil interim figures amid growing concern about the impact of any new EU sugar regime on the company's financial outlook.

Fyffes, Kerry, Kingspan and Ulster Television all hold annual general meetings but are likely to be overshadowed by volatile pharmaceuticals group Elan. It will update investors on the progress of its negotiations with US regulators over its suspended multiple sclerosis drug Tysabri.
