Eircom faces the music

With a share price in the doldrums and a controversial remuneration plan up for decision, Eircom's first a.g.m

With a share price in the doldrums and a controversial remuneration plan up for decision, Eircom's first a.g.m. since its flotation on Wednesday is going to be anything other than what its executives and its former owners, the State, would wish for the flagship privatisation.

While a lot of heat will be generated by the remuneration issue, analysts will be more concerned for some definite news from KPN about its secondary placing before the closed period ahead of interim results. They will also want assurances about the performance of the business in an ever more competitive and capital-intensive business.
