An interactive online tax return service, TaxBiz, has been launched by Eircom net, which claims to be the Republic's leading Internet service provider. TaxBiz is designed to assist small businesses in complying with their January 31st deadline for income tax self-assessment. This free service also allows self-employed users to complete a Form BP1 (Business Profile) in order to declare their income for the year ended April 5th, 1999. TaxBiz also simplifies self-assessment by providing expert advice and suggestions to ensure all the information submitted is correct.

The details are entirely secure and are used to produce a business' tax liability for the year. The site at www.eircom.net was designed by leading tax experts and Internet design specialists. It is the third product in Eircom net's range of specialist online tax services joining the TaxMate and TaxCheck products.
