Eircom has won a P2.5 million (£2 million) contract to supply IBM with metropolitan asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) services for the next three years.
The contract will see seven IBM sites in Dublin linked via Eircom's symphony ATM network, offering more flexible bandwidth and reduced costs to customers.
The deal will enable IBM to increase its communications capacity as its bandwidth requirements grow, such as adding new staff or business. The service will be managed from Eircom's service management centre in Citywest.
