Doubts about monetary union proceeding on schedule appear to be growing, according to the latest J P Morgan index.

It shows that investors' expectations of Ireland joining have continued to fall over the past week. Yesterday, Ireland had only a 57 per cent chance of joining, compared to a 63 per cent chance a week earlier, according to the investors' expectations measured by the calculator. Page 2
