Ormonde firm gets permits in Spain

THE SPANISH subsidiary of Ormonde Mining has been awarded four new investigation permits in southern Spain.

THE SPANISH subsidiary of Ormonde Mining has been awarded four new investigation permits in southern Spain.

The permits, located in the Huelva province, are included in the joint venture Ormonde España has with Antofagasta Minerals and cover a total area

of 95sq km. Ormonde managing director Kerr Anderson said: “The new permits are a significant addition to our ground holdings in the La Zarza copper project area.

“We are now moving forward with an aggressive exploration programme, funded by our joint venture partner Antofagasta, which will, I believe, identify any significant massive sulphides at reasonable depths in these new areas,” Mr Anderson added.

Ormonde entered the joint venture in 2009 with Antofagasta to explore for additional copper resources on the La Zarza copper-gold project.
