A company manufacturing fire-fighting pumps is to create 32 new jobs in Mullingar.
Patterson Pump Ireland, currently building a state-of-the-art premises at Marlinstown Office Park, has announced it is to create the new jobs in Mullingar over the next five years.
The company will be seeking to employ mechanical engineers, qualified fitters, finance, IT and quality control personnel. The new positions will bring the total workforce at the company to 65.
The expansion will enable the company to move into the non-fire market in Europe and supply customers in the waste water, municipal pump and flood control sectors.
Managing director of Patterson Pump, Rod Pelot said: "Patterson Pump Ireland has seen its core business of firefighting pumps grow year on year since 2009 despite the recent turbulent times of the Irish economy".
A total of 125 workers are already engaged in the design and construction of the company’s new multi-million euro facility which is expected to be completed by April of next year.
