Ennis, Co Clare, will receive more than £1 million worth of educational information technology and business skills e-learning content under a project sponsored by e-learning company SmartForce and Eircom.
SmartForce will also provide 100 scholarships to the value of £500,000 (€634,869) as part of the e-learn@Ennis initiative which was introduced yesterday by the former President, Dr Patrick Hillery. As a lead-up to the introduction of the initiative, training sessions will be available through e-learning and have been organised at centres across Ennis, Ireland's information-age town.
