The Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources, Mr Fahey, has expressed "disappointment" over the plugging of the Errigal deepwater exploration well off the Donegal coast by Enterprise Energy Ireland.

Enterprise confirmed yesterday that almost £15 million (#19 million) had been spent on the well to date. It said the target depth was reached, at 1,623 metres of water.
