Esat Telecom has made two senior appointments to its marketing team

Esat Telecom has made two senior appointments to its marketing team. Ms Dara Lennon is the new marketing communications manager while Ms Pauline Murnin is taking over responsibility for the purchase, analysis and interpretation of research information within the company. This research is used in strategic business planning and the successful launch of new products. She previously worked with Lansdowne Market Research.

Ms Bernadette Mullarkey is the new group marketing manager at Clerys. She will be responsible for marketing the company's department stores and has previously worked with Bord Failte and an agency in Milan, Italy.

Ireland On-Line, the Internet service provider, has appointed Mr John Ingle as its corporate sales manager. He previously worked with Swiftcall as a sales manager.

Ms Maeve Twomey is Ireland On-Line's new brand manager. She previously worked on several accounts with Dimension, the marketing and public relations company.

EBS Asset Managers, the fund management division of EBS Building Society, has named Ms Sarah Loftus as general manager. She was previously a manager in the commercial lending division. Before that she worked with Ernst & Young Corporate Finance.

Mr Brian Sparks is the new chief executive of the advertising agency, McCann Erickson, following the announcement by Mr Noel Derby that he plans to resign. Mr Sparks previously worked with Guinness Ireland.

Mr Paul O'Brien has taken up the post of financial manager and company secretary at Digital Equipment Ireland.

Mr O'Brien is a management accountant and has been with the company since 1991.

Cable and Wireless has appointed Mr Noel Ryan as field sales manager in its rental division. He previously held the position of major account manager and section engineer.

The Blood Transfusion Services Board (BTSB) has named Mr Tim O'Connell as national donor services manager. Mr O'Connell served as an army officer for 18 years, which included United Nations duty in Lebanon.

Mr O'Connell's role will be to manage and redevelop donor structures and services and ensure a constant supply of blood products to the acute hospital sector.

Mr Michael Murphy has been appointed director of programming for TV3. He joins the new television station from Elmsdale Media where he was director of programmes; he worked previously with international entertainment companies, distributors and programme producers.

Ms Jane Gogan has been appointed commissioning editor. She will be responsible for the management of TV3's relationships with the independent production sector, as well as overseeing all elements of TV3's commissioned programme output.
