Young Advertising has won the Evening Herald media account and retained the creative side of the work after a three-way pitch involving Irish International and QMP Darcy. Irish International handles the Irish Independent and Sunday Independent accounts and had previously bought media for the Herald.

Guinness's new press campaign is the second phase of its £600,000 (€762,388) quality advertising campaign. It features six Irish people, including publican Charlie Chawke and Alan Kelly, a Dublin city barber, in a testimonial type format.

Camelot, the UK lottery licence holder, is considering selling advertising space on its lottery tickets as a revenue earner to counteract falling sales. On average 100 million tickets are sold weekly.
