The Garda may seek the extradition from the UK of the former investment broker Mr Tony Taylor within the next four weeks, Business & Finance magazine reports today.
Evidence concerning complaints against the broker has been passed to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, which is expected in turn to request that the Attorney General to initiate extradition proceedings, according to the magazine.
It also says that Ms Shirley Taylor is living in London with her husband and has offered to meet liquidator Mr Patrick McSwiney, to discuss the proceeds of the sale of the Taylors' home.
A senior source in the Garda Fraud Bureau said last night he had no knowledge of any pending application for Mr Taylor's extradition. He also said it was not the case that the Garda had established Mr Taylor was living in London. Mr McSwiney could not be contacted.
