Central Bank publishes name of unauthorised firm

Silen Francye (Ireland) is 210th company to be named for operating without regulation

The Central Bank of Ireland said Silen Francye was not authorised as a ‘retail credit firm’ by the bank.

The Central Bank of Ireland has published the name of an unauthorised firm, Silen Francye (Ireland).

In a statement issued today, the Central Bank said Silen Francye was not authorised as a “retail credit firm” by the bank.

It is the 210th unauthorised firm to have its name published by the Central Bank since 1998.

The statement warned that consumers are not eligible for compensation from the Investor Compensation Scheme if they have problems in their dealings with a firm which is not authorised.

It is also a criminal offence for an unauthorised firm to provide financial services in Ireland.
