One51 has named former chief financial officer Alan Walsh as chief executive of the investment company. Mr Walsh (34) will replace Philip Lynch, the founder of the company, who was dismissed in July.

The appointment follows a four-month recruitment process led by recruitment firm Merc Partners.

A graduate of UCD, Mr Walsh qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG. He has also worked for Matheson Ormsby Prentice and Axis Capital.
