Deutsche Bank has operated in Ireland since 1991 and employs 330 staff at two offices in Dublin. The company doubled its workforce in 2009 and
plans to bring its headcount to more than 1,000 by consolidating its operations
at a 100,000sq ft office in Eastpoint Business Park.
Deutsche Bank has a number of entities in Ireland, including DB Service Centre Ltd (involved in data processing for Deutsche Bank locations overseas) and Deutsche International Corporate Services (Ireland) Ltd (involved in global transaction banking).
Latest accounts for DB Service Centre Ltd show it made pretax profit of €914,650 in 2012, up from €280,573 the previous year. The company employed an average of 251 staff during the year and booked operating income of €13.5 million. Its payroll costs last year were €8.9 million.
Deutsche International Corporate Services (Ireland) Ltd made a pretax profit of €4.5 million on turnover of €21 million in 2012. The company paid a dividend last year of €6.6 million to its German parent.
The IFSC-based business employed 49 staff in 2012 and its payroll costs amounted to €5.2 million, including bonuses of €1.1 million.
