Total Produce chairman Carl McCann received a total remuneration package of €623,000 last year, a drop of nearly 14 per cent on the previous year, the company’s annual report shows.

Of this package, €173,000 was a performance-related award.

In contrast, chief executive Rory Byrne saw his total pay rise from €823,000 in 2010 to €897,000 last year, an increase of 9 per cent. Mr Byrne’s package included a €215,000 performance- related bonus as well as a €251,000 pension contribution.

The company’s two non- executive directors were paid €72,000 last year, the same level as 2010. The agm of Europe’s largest fruit distributor will be held at the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel in Golden Lane, Dublin, on May 18th.
