First Active chief executive Mr John Smyth has spent just over £75,000 in a purchase of 30,000 of the bank's shares. Mr Smyth bought the 30,000 sharees at €3.20 (£2.52) each and brings his shareholding to just over 101,000 shares.

In a separate transaction, non-executive director Mr Henry Murdoch bought 10,000 shares at €3.25 (£2.56) each for a total of £25,600, bringing his stake up to 40,780 shares.
